The orchestra has fascinated Léo Genet from an early age. He has participated in several academies such as that of the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre Français des Jeunes and the European Union Youth Orchestra.
He obtained two masters, at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon in the classes of Bernard Cazauran and Cédric Carlier, and then at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of Olivier Thiery and Rick Stotijn. Learning these two different musical aesthetics allowed him to enrich and expand his instrumental expression.
Substitute within the main French and Dutch orchestras, regularly invited at the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Léo Genet also likes to play with smaller ensembles. The Rencontres Musicales Internationales d'Evian, the Seiji Ozawa International Academy, the Orchestre National d'Auvergne or the GoYa Quartet Amsterdam allow him to explore a wide variety of musical styles.
After a year spent at the Academy of the Amsterdam opera orchestra, the Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Léo Genet joined the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in 2017 and then the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam where he resides since 2018.
Since 2020, he has been a mentor of the Concertgebouworkest Young Academy, and gives frequent private lessons focused on the preparation of orchestral auditions. He is also guest teacher at the Conservatorium of the university of the arts of Utrecht.
Théotime Voisin's adventurous musical spirit led him to carve out his studies in four of the most important double bass schools : the french one (with Bernard Cazauran), the italian one (with Alberto Bocini), the russian one (with Rinat Ibragimov) and the czech one, too (with Božo Paradžik). As a result, his playing is distinguished by an outstanding sound and a strong expressiveness, characterized by both the french and the german bow techniques.
Awarded in many of the most famous double bass competitions, Théotime Voisin is valued for high level solo performances as much as for his chamber music and orchestral work.
He holds the assistant principal position in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam since 2016, and teaches at The Hague Royal Conservatoire.
In 2021, to celebrate Giovanni Bottesini’s 200th anniversary, he realized an extraordinary project to video record Bottesini’s complete work for double bass and piano in only a few months for his YouTube channel. Previously, he recorded a CD of french music for the Italian label NBB records.
Landry Chosson got first in touch with music by singing in children's choirs. At the age of 10 he devoted himself to the piano and started studying at the Conservatoires à Rayonnement Régionaux of Tours and Montpellier.
He continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse of Lyon where he specialized in piano accompaniment and obtained his Master's degree in 2010.
The desire to share music and his passion for singing naturally lead him to work in Instrumental and Vocal Duos. He then dedicated himself to the repertoire of melody and opera, as well as to the accompaniment of choirs particularly in Lyon, Les Siècles Romantiques, la Maîtrise des Petits Chanteurs de St Marc...
He performed in France and abroad (Germany, Spain, Russia, Asia, South America), with various musicians, singers and lyric ensembles (Les Variétés Lyriques), as well as festivals such as the "Sviatoslav Richter" festival in Russia in 2012. He also performed a solo recital in Taipei in 2019.
Landry Chosson now divides his activities between piano accompaniment, vocal coaching, chamber music activities and piano recitals.
