The Basses en Bugey double bass Academy was born from the shared passion of Léo Genet and Théotime Voisin, both double bass players in the prestigious Royal Orchestra of the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam. Their desire to promote exchanges and transmission in a friendly atmosphere as well as Léo's attachment to his native Bugey led them to imagine Basses en Bugey.
The Academy is mainly thought for students in bachelor and master, post-graduated students or young professionals. This week of work offers them the opportunity to perfect all aspects of the instrument through tailor-made lessons adapted to the needs of each : preparation for orchestral auditions, solo repertoire, chamber music, mental coaching, technical work…
Each student will be able to take advantage of six lessons in total, three with Léo Genet and three with Théotime Voisin.
Outside of class, the rooms of the municipal school are available to students for individual work as well as for rehearsals before the concerts.
A pianist, Landry Chosson, will be present.
Two concerts are planned, where students will have the opportunity to present their work and participate in double bass ensembles with the teachers.
